Museum of Fine Arts

The monumental museum building was created in eclectic neoclassical style in Heroes’ Square.

Its opening ceremony was held on 1 December 1906, in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph. The historic building amalgamates the features of various historical styles. The imposing spaces of the Marble Hall, the Renaissance Hall, The Roman Hall and the Baroque Hall offer astonishing background for different occasions. The classical sites are currently enjoying a renaissance and the newly reconstructed Museum of Fine Arts offers all the comforts of a modernized building for larger events.
